FileMaker Pro Advanced 17, 18 & 19 and FileMaker Server 17, 18 & 19 have added many new and exciting features to the FileMaker product family. At the same time, FileMaker Pro 17, 18 & 19 can no longer connect to FileMaker Server versions 14 and earlier.
Since FileMaker Server 14 was the last version before FileMaker’s EULA started disallowing shared hosting, a Virtual Dedicated Server is now required to host databases to FileMaker Pro Advanced 17, 18 & 19 clients.
If you wish to use a shared hosting account instead, you would need to use FileMaker Pro 16 or earlier to connect. Note that FileMaker offers a “downgrade license” to FileMaker Pro 16 for those purchasing new licenses – please contact FileMaker Sales for details.
If you have any further questions regarding FileMaker 17, 18 & 19 hosting, please contact us.
