FileMaker 17 & 18 Cloud Hosting Information

FileMaker Pro Advanced 17 & 18 and FileMaker Server 17 & 18 have added many new and exciting features to the FileMaker product family.  At the same time, FileMaker Pro Advanced 17 & 18 can no longer connect to FileMaker Server versions 14 and earlier.

Since FileMaker Server 14 was the last version before FileMaker’s EULA started disallowing shared hosting, a Virtual Dedicated Server is now required to host databases to FileMaker Pro Advanced 17 & 18 clients.

If you wish to use a shared hosting account instead, you would need to use FileMaker 16 or earlier.  Note that FileMaker offers a “downgrade license” to FileMaker Pro 16 for those purchasing new licenses – please contact FileMaker Sales for details.
