FileMaker 16 and FileMaker Server 16 have added many new and exciting features to the FileMaker product family. At the same time, FileMaker Server 16 has a new End User License Agreement (EULA) that forbids commercial hosting on shared FileMaker Server 16 servers.
As such, customers have two options when wishing to host FileMaker 16 databases with Point In Space:
-> Host your FileMaker 16 databases on a FileMaker 14 Server Shared Hosting Account, which will support connections from FileMaker 12 through 16. Note that this option will not support any new features included with FileMaker 16 server, a list of which can be found here. Also note that this option does not support WebDirect. Just select “FileMaker 16 / 15 / 14 / 13” for your database version when signing up for an account.
-> Use FileMaker 16 Server on a Virtual Dedicated Server to be able to use WebDirect and all other new Server 16 features. We are experts in provisioning virtual dedicated servers for FileMaker Server.
